Laura Naughton
Welcome! I’m Laura Naughton, the Showroom and Project Manager for Columbia CabinetWorks. Being born and raised just outside Albany, I have always considered East Greenbush my home. Originally, I had planned to become a beautician and attended the Austin Beauty School for Cosmetology, however, I was meant for something different. After purchasing my first home in 1985, my husband and I decided to add a second story. We had to completely renovate every inch of the home down to the floor joists. From that moment on, I knew I had to be in design.
After a short stay in Tuscon, Arizona where we renovated another home, we moved back to East Greenbush to build our home on a beautiful 5 acre hill in the woods. One day in 2004, I was next door making full size copies of my house plans to distribute when I stepped into Columbia CabinetWorks. The products and the look appealed to me instantly, and that is when I became involved with CCW. After the completion of my home, I was working with Sano-Rubin Construction in Albany. In 2006, I was asked to work for CCW part-time for the showroom at the Times Union Center. I came onboard full-time in 2007.
From my experiences, I have learned that I love my job! I love people! I love the ability to design and be creative! Over the years I have made amazing friendships with our clients, builders, architects etc. Problem solving excites me; I like to make things happen. In the end, what I enjoy most is the happiness we see in our clients when their project is completed.
